As part of the June Flat Track race, a good turn out of 250cc and 150cc Junior riders did European style team racing for the first time. The kids were wide eyed excited putting on team race colors, and some even requested that they use helmet colors next time.
Each rider raced twice in the team program with individual finals to close.
The Bakersfield Bandits with good top end power defeated the Team SOS Wolves 21-15 in the 6 heat challenge. 2025 USA SGP4 entrant Riley Rearick doubled up for the Wolves running both 250cc and 150cc classes, effectively taking two spots on the team roster.
Jamison Hutchinson showed his huge improvement by winning all his 250cc rides with ease. Ryder Schultz won the other 250cc team heat. Brandon Kemmerly was the 150cc main event winner, also taking a heat win. Riley Rearick and Gavin Evans Seeley also took heat wins.
The event was the last at Kern before the two month summer break with local temperatures usually surpassing 110 degrees in July and August. Action returns on September 6th with the return of the National Pairs Speedway Championship and the second annual Paul Freeman Night for Flat Track on the 13th.
